Employee request management
One portal for IT, HR, finance, and facilities requests.
Employees find the right service in a single branded portal, and each team keeps its own request types, forms, approvals, and SLAs behind it. Requests route to the owning department and carry a status the requester can follow the whole way.
How a request moves from portal to resolved
Each department publishes its own request types, forms, and approvals. Every request routes to the team that owns it and shares one portal, one audit trail, and one bill.
Find the right service
IT, HR, finance, and facilities each publish their own request types behind one branded portal. An employee picks the service they need instead of guessing which inbox to email, and every entry point lands in the same pipeline.
- Custom request types per department, with per-type fields and validation
- Branded portal: your colors, logo, and banner
- Email and API intake feed the same pipeline
Structured forms that route themselves
Each request type carries its own fields, validation, and routing. When the form is submitted, rules read the request type and its content and assign it to the owning team, so requests reach the people who handle them without a manual dispatch step.
- Per-type fields and required-field validation at intake
- Keyword-matching automation rules assign on submission
- Team queues with workload-aware assignment to the least busy agent
Ownership and confidentiality by team
A payroll question shouldn't be readable by the IT intern. Roles are assembled from 24 permission keys and scoped to a team, so each department sees the requests it owns and nothing from the others. Sensitive queues stay confined to the people who handle them.
- Custom roles assembled from 24 permission keys
- Team-scoped visibility: HR requests stay in HR
- Internal comments stay internal, and every access is audited
Approvals and handoffs between departments
Purchases, access changes, and policy exceptions route to a named approver before anyone acts, and approvers can delegate when they're out. When a request needs a second team, reassignment moves it across departments with its history and comments intact. See the full engine on approval workflows.
- Approval requirements set per request type, with out-of-office delegation
- Reassign across teams; the request keeps its history and thread
- Decisions trigger the next automation step
Tracking and follow-ups the requester can see
Requesters watch where their request stands in the portal and get notified on every change, so they don't email to ask for an update. Watchers keep managers and stakeholders in the loop without CC chains.
- Portal status visible to the requester at every step
- Watchers and notifications on state changes
- Public replies and internal notes kept separate
A record every team can answer to
Every transition is recorded: who moved a request, when, and from what state. Per-team SLA and resolution reporting shows each department how its own queue is performing.
- Full status history, audited by user
- Per-team SLA and resolution reporting
- Backlog and mean-time-to-resolution analytics
Common questions
Do employees need a paid seat?
No. Requesters are unlimited and free. Every employee can submit and track requests, and you only pay for agents, the people resolving them.
Can each department have its own forms?
Yes. Request types are defined per organization with their own custom fields, required-field validation, and approval requirements, so an HR onboarding form doesn't look like an IT access request.
Can HR requests be hidden from other teams?
Yes. Roles are team-scoped: you can build a role that only sees its own department's requests. Sensitive queues stay confined to the team that owns them.
Where do employees submit requests?
The branded employee portal, email, or any system wired to the REST API. All three create the same kind of request and follow the same routing rules.
