Legal request management
Legal intake with confidentiality and a defensible record
EvenTier gives legal one queue for contract and NDA reviews, matter intake, and policy questions. Sign-off routing, deadline SLAs, and internal notes are included in SaaS; enterprise contracts can add self-hosting for privileged data.
How a legal request moves from intake to a defensible record
A queue for contract, NDA, and matter requests, with counterparty and deadline captured at intake, confidentiality scoped to the people who need it, and a record of who saw what.
One intake queue for contract, NDA, and matter requests
Contract reviews, NDA requests, matter openings, and policy questions arrive in one queue from email, the portal, or the API. Each request type captures what legal needs to triage, including counterparty, deadline, contract value, and matter type, before anyone picks it up.
- Custom request types for contracts, NDAs, matters, and advice
- Required fields capture counterparty and deadline at intake
- Routing rules send each request to the right attorney or paralegal
Sign-off routing for the reviews that need it
Some documents need a second reviewer or GC approval before they go back. Flag those request types for approval and route them through the reviewers in order. The request waits, and the SLA clock pauses, until sign-off clears.
- Sequential multi-step approval chains for tiered review
- Out-of-office delegation so review never blocks on one person
- Every approval and its reviewer recorded with a timestamp
Confidentiality through scoping and internal notes
Legal work is sensitive. Internal notes stay internal, and custom roles keep matters scoped to the people working them, so a request is readable only by the reviewers assigned to it. For teams that need privileged material to stay off shared infrastructure entirely, the same product runs self-hosted on your own servers.
- Internal notes the requester never sees; a clean public thread
- Custom roles with per-permission, team-scoped access to matters
- MFA and per-org IP allowlist for the legal team
Deadlines you can see before they slip
Response and resolution SLAs respect business hours and pause while you wait on the requester or a counterparty. Requests approaching breach surface at the top of the queue, so a time-sensitive review never gets buried.
- Per-policy first-response and resolution targets
- Breach risk surfaced in the queue, sorted by urgency
- The clock pauses while a request waits on the requester or approval
A defensible record of every request
Every assignment, status change, approval, and edit writes an immutable audit row. When you need to show who reviewed a contract and when, or respond to a records request, the history is intact and exportable.
- Three audit logs (changes, sign-ins, security) streamed to your SIEM
- GDPR erasure in one step, with a cryptographic proof record
- Full request history retained and searchable
Self-hosted for privileged data
When privileged material can't sit in a shared cloud, run the same product entirely on your own infrastructure with a signed license, even fully offline, with AI disabled or pointed at your own provider. Deployment, offline validation, and the license model are covered in full on the self-hosted page.
- Runs on your own servers, even fully offline, with a signed license
- Your data residency, retention policy, and network perimeter
- Bring your own AI provider on your own credits, or disable AI entirely
Common questions
Can we keep legal requests confidential from other teams?
Yes. Custom roles scope matters to the people working them, and internal notes are never visible to the requester. Combined with per-org IP allowlisting and MFA, the legal queue stays scoped to the legal team rather than the rest of the organisation.
Can reviews require a second approver before they close?
Yes. Flag a request type as requiring approval and configure an ordered chain, for example reviewer then GC. The request stays in a waiting state with the SLA clock paused until the final step signs off, and a denial cancels the remaining steps.
Do the employees submitting legal requests cost anything?
No. Requesters are unlimited and free on every plan. You pay $49 per agent per month for the legal team working the queue, and the first 3 agents are free forever.
Can we run this on our own infrastructure for privileged material?
Yes, through an annual enterprise contract starting at $20 per agent per month. The same product runs on your infrastructure with a signed license, even fully offline, so privileged and confidential material stays inside your perimeter. AI can be disabled entirely with one setting.
