Assets & inventory

Track inventory — laptops, monitors, licenses — with custom and built-in fields, CSV import/export, bulk operations, and links from assets to the requests that touch them.

What you can do

  • The assets module is feature-flag gated per org — enable it from Admin → Assets before it appears.
  • Each asset carries built-in fields (status, assignee, and more) plus custom fields you define (text, number, date, select, boolean).
  • Import and export assets via CSV, and run bulk operations across a selection.
  • Link assets to requests so an agent can see which hardware or license a ticket is about, with assignment history and full audit logging.

Step by step

  1. 01

    Turn on the module

Admin → Assets. Enable the assets feature for your organization. Admins with the Manage assets permission can configure it.

  2. 02

    Define your fields

Add custom field definitions (text, number, date, select, boolean) on top of the built-in fields, and configure which built-in fields you use.

  3. 03

    Load your inventory

Import existing inventory from CSV, or add assets manually. Export any time. Use bulk actions to update status or assignment across many assets at once.

  4. 04

    Link assets to requests

From a request, link the relevant asset so the agent has context. Assignment changes are tracked in the asset's history and the audit log.
